The interest rate on the "First Chance Loan" is 12.90% APR*.

- Log into Online Banking
- Select "Self Service Tab"
- Click on "Mobile Money" & then click "Sign Up"
- Terms & Agreement – click Box & then click "Continue"
- Select "Downloadable Mobile Apps" & "Continue"
- Select your Time Zone
- Select your Account(s) & type in a nickname (no spaces)
- Then "Continue"
- Read next message then "Continue"
- You will receive a text with an activation code
- Enter this code & click "Activate"
- You will then receive a text message with a link to download the application.*
- Click on the link & follow the instructions on your phone's screen.

Design Your Own Credit Card!
Show off your favorite photo every time you shop. Now you can convert your picture into the face of your PEFCU VISA credit card. Simply access your online VISA account by clicking here, log in and look for the "Design Your Own Card" button on the main page. Click on this DYOC button and follow instructions.
One card per account is free for the first order. For accounts with multiple users, the other users will each be charged a $10.00 fee to customize their card.
IMPORTANT NOTE for accounts with multiple users:
We recommend that each member on the account order their customized card at the same time if each person wants a "customized" card because the expiration date on the card will be updated with the order. This means that even if you do not order your own "customized" card, you will receive a new "PEFCU" credit card with the new expiration date. The expiration date has to match on each card on the account. When this order occurs, then there is a 30 day waiting period before anyone else on the account can order a "customized" card. Each time a "customized" card is ordered, each member on the account will get an updated card with the updated expiration date.

Security:
Be confident that the security of your information is our priority. A number of security features have been built into mobile banking products including a registration process that requires a unique activation code to verify your mobile phone number. This also lets you know your mobile phone number was successfully entered into the system.
Also, no mobile banking text message returns any personal identification information such as a full account number, a PIN, email or personal address. Your user ID and password will never be included or asked for in any "Mobile Money" text message. Currently for security reasons, only one user can register per phone.
Your Mobile Carrier Fees:
While "Mobile Money" is a free service provided by your credit union, every mobile carrier has a different rate plan for text messaging and data services access*. You may be charged per use or charged a flat monthly rate so please contact your mobile carrier to determine their charges.

Skip-a-Payment Program:
Need a vacation from your loan payments? Sign up today for our skip-a-payment program. Choose any 2 months from May thru August to skip your payments. They do not have to be consecutive months.
For Automatic Payments: You need to come in to one of our offices to sign a form to temporarily suspend payments.
Eligibility for " Skip-a-Payment "
You must be current on all loans for the past 6 months, have had no extensions in the last 12 months, and the loan must be at least 12 months old. Only open-ended loans (loans that can be added to) are eligible.
You pay only $10.00 each month for each loan payment you skip. Interest will continue to accrue from your last payment.

Notice to Members on Overdraft Protection
The Federal Reserve Board recently passed new regulations requiring all financial institutions to obtain an “Opt In” or approval from each member to continue providing Overdraft Services on ATM and everyday check card transactions clearing your account.
ACTION REQUIRED:
You simply need to inform us that you want to “Opt-In”.
Call us at 769-3306 and give us your name & member number.

What if I do not “Opt In”?
This means your current overdraft services will not cover overdrafts for ATM and check card transactions effective August 15, 2010. If you do not “opt-in”, your ATM and check card transactions will no longer be authorized if funds are not available. Note: The new regulations WILL NOT affect your current services that provide your ACH or paper check transactions.
We DO authorize and pay overdrafts to the following types of transactions if you have funds to cover the overdraft from that account’s share savings or an overdraft line of credit loan:
- Checks and other transactions made using your checking account number.
- Automatic bill payments
After August 15th, we WILL NOT authorize and pay overdrafts for ATM and Check Card transactions unless you ask us to or “Opt-In”.
We do not guarantee that we will always authorize and pay any type of transaction. If we do not authorize and pay an overdraft, your transaction will be declined.
What fees will I be charged if Panhandle Educators FCU pays my overdraft?
Under our standard overdraft practices:
- We will charge you a fee of $25.00 each time we pay an overdraft.
- There is no limit on the total fees we can charge you for overdrawing your account.
