Hurricane Updates

Over a month has passed since the devastation of Hurricane Michael hit our community. Our thoughts and prayers have constantly been with everyone affected.

We know that this hurricane has affected nearly everyone in Bay County, and like all organizations, Panhandle Educators FCU had suffered some major damages. We have made great progress daily, and now five of our six locations are open, along with consumer, business, and mortgage lending.

We are very appreciative of our community, and we want to thank our employees and members for their commitment. It was essential for our members to have access to their funds and we did everything in our power to give them that with success.

Together we are rebuilding the community, one day at a time.

Update for Members:

As we all know, the impact of Hurricane Michael has caused severe damage to our community. We are constantly restoring our operations and are making progress daily. Thank you for being patient and understanding during this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with our members, communities, and employees affected by Hurricane Michael.

To speak to us directly about Consumer Loans or anything Member Service related, please call us at one of the following: 850-769-3306, 850-271-3100, or 850-230-4319. We ask that members please be patient if the line is busy, as we expect a high volume of calls.

Beginning November 2nd, we will be able to resume printing debit cards. Cards will be available at the Beach Branch the day after the order is placed. If you cannot make it to the Beach location, you may select another branch location for pick up. That branch will contact you once they receive your card. If you choose to have it sent to another branch please expect delays on delivery.

Open Locations with Drive-Up Services:

Our Beach, Lynn Haven, 231, Southport, and Eastside Branch lobbies are open from 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. Our Saturday hours are 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM.

Due to security and safety concerns, we are only allowing a few people in our lobbies at a time. Again, we ask that members please be patient if the line is long. We want to serve members safely and securely.

The Lynn Haven Office is located next to Burger King on the corner of Mowat School Rd and Hwy 77. This is also where Winn-Dixie is located. This location is open.

The Main Office on Hwy 77 near Kohl's is closed until further notice.

Loan Applications:

We are working on getting loan applications in by appointment only. If you are interested in making an appointment with a loan officer please call 850-769-3306, 850-271-3100, or 850-230-4319. If for some reason you cannot get in touch via phone, you can give your contact information to an employee through a drive-up window. We then will contact you to make an appointment.

Shared Banking:

Panhandle Educators FCU members away from Bay County can use any Credit Union in our Shared Branching network. You can also use ATMs, Mobile Banking, and Online Banking.

Loan Deferral:

All loans are being deferred one month, no fees, no credit reporting. We will send out updates to members regarding there loans in the next few weeks. If your loan is set to auto pay it will automatically come out, if you would like to change this please contact us.

Email and General Question Contact:

We are actively working on getting our email system up and running. If you have any questions please message us directly on Facebook. When sending facebook message inquiries to the credit union please do NOT include any sensitive/confidential information as facebook message is an insecure communication method.
